The short version
We collect only what we need to run SplitUp. We don't sell your data. Ever. We don't show you ads. We use your data only to provide the service you signed up for.
SplitUp is operated by Telfos Co. LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We built SplitUp to help people split expenses fairly and easily. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@splitupwith.us.
Account info
Your email address and password (encrypted) when you sign up.
Profile info
Your display name if you choose to add one.
Expense data
Groups, expenses, and settlements you create in the app.
Receipt images
Photos you upload for scanning are processed by Claude AI and are NOT stored after processing.
Payment info
If you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Usage data
Basic analytics like page views to help us improve the app. No personal tracking.
Sell your personal data to anyone, ever
Show you ads or work with advertisers
Share your data with third parties except as needed to run the service
Store receipt images after they've been processed
Access your payment card details (Stripe handles this)

You have the right to:
Access all data we have about you
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your expense data as CSV
Correct any inaccurate information
You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings. To request a data export or ask questions, email us at hello@splitupwith.us.
We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security - meaning users can only access their own data. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe - we never touch your card details.
We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in. We don't use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, which will log you out of SplitUp.
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or by showing a notice in the app. Minor changes may be made without notice. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last updated.
